News : Shellburg house damaged by fire being torn down

House being torn down as a result of the August fire that damaged the Shellsburg home

The Shellsburg house damaged by fire back in August, is being torn down today. 

Area fire departments from Shellsburg, Urbana and Palo responded to the house fire in Shellsburg . The house was located on the corner of Cottage and Canton, next to the Shellsburg Elementary School. Also responding to the fire were the Hiawatha ambulance and the Benton County Sheriff's department.

The cause of the fire was being investigated by the Benton County Sheriff's office.
