Calling all Members of the Class of 2020

Attention, Seniors of Benton County - Homeschoolers, V-S Graduates, Benton Community, CPU...yes you!

Unfortunately, this year has been a year that the Class of 2020 will not forget, and many of the rest of us won't either.

Let's do something we've never done on Vinton Today!

Seniors, (or mom and dad) send in a picture to Vinton Today (if you have access to a cap and gown, feel free to model that for us!) You can send in your senior picture or a funny one reflecting what's happening, put on a mask with your cap and gown if you want, or a funny quarantine pic, maybe next to your computer class online. Just make it a close up for best results!

Send it to vintontoday@hotmail.com with the name of the graduate, and a message to your classmates, parents or a parting message to a teacher or group of teachers, or both, space is NOT an issue, I have an unlimited amount!

I'll compile them and publish this closer to what should have been graduation time. Please submit it by May 4th.

There is no charge for this, but just a small way to recognize all of you and to give you something for your scrapbook!

When sending in your photo and information, please let me know which school district you are from and I will try to sort them by school. Thank you!

KB April 20, 2020, 2:22 pm Valerie that is such a wonderful idea. Thank you for reaching out and making sure that our seniors do get recognized! It is such a disappointment for them; I feel bad for them. It's all about "different kind" of memories now. I saw where in one town the seniors drove a route through town like a parade so that everyone could wish them well and cheer them on. I think that would be neat too.
