Teachers have had to come up with all sorts of ways to continue education when the classrooms closed this year. They also needed to create new memories for the children after the usual activities were canceled.

Teachers gathered in the middle school parking lot on Thursday evening for a send-off for students leaving the 8th grade, their last year of middle school.

As the faculty lined the parking lot from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. student and parents drove through, first stop they received a popsicle if they wanted one, and then they waved to the teachers in the lot. Some of the teachers made signs decorating their cars with messages for the students, others blew bubbles and many smiled, waved and chatted with students as the students drove by.

Unfortunately, all had to keep the 6 feet of distance and wore their masks.

The teachers, once again, went above and beyond for what has been one crazy year for both the teachers and students.

Thanks, Middle School Staff, for giving a little bit extra, again this year.
