Benton County breaks 100 cases of COVID-19 at 102 since March

Region 6

As of 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday night, in all of Region 6 which Benton County falls into, there are a total of 40 hospitalized with COVID-19 and 15 of those are in the ICU. There are just over 1,000 beds available and 84.24% of ventilators available, or 155. Right now there are 5 from our Region on ventilators.

The counties included in these numbers include Allamakee, Benton, Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Grundy, Howard, Jones, Linn and Winneshiek.

Benton County

As for Benton County, since the beginning of counting the cases, Benton County has had 99 and of those, 79 have recovered. There has been one death back in April. We currently have 19 active cases in the county.

AR July 24, 2020, 1:34 pm I honestly don't know what to believe. So many doctors are just saying people have it and not even testing them.

SL July 24, 2020, 8:16 pm From what I've read lately that doctors don't want people to be going out in public until two weeks after symptoms disappear. So simply subtracting 14 days from yesterday's figures and declaring them Covid 19 free seems to be dramatically wrong. From those figures we could have a lot more infectious people than the day to day testing count.
