Vinton's First Baptist Church provided Vinton residents with a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Each year the church prepares meals for the residents to enjoy. This year, however, because of COVID, the church decided to order heat and eat meals from Hy-Vee. On Thursday the church provided a drive-up site for residents to order the number of meals needed for their household.

The church provided 268 meals to those that arrived at the church, then delivered meals to several who had no way to come to the church and then treated area police officers with the meals that were left.

Kudos First Baptist Church for a job well done!
