Today’s NCCC spotlight is Carrie-Ann MacArthur who hails from Eljay, GA. Leading Oak 6 this year, Carrie-Ann is a recent graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA. She graduated in December of 2010 with a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and a minor in Business management. Carrie-Ann loves helping others and giving back. Paired with a love of travel and wanting to see different parts of the United States, Carrie-Ann decided NCCC was the right program for her. The thought of being able to work hands-on and make a difference in the life of someone else made the NCCC a great fit for her.

Q: Where was your first job?

A: I worked as an IT assistant in my high school with a student co-op program. We worked on reformatting, setting up, fixing, and maintaining the schools computers.

Q: Who is your favorite actor?

A: Paul Walker

Q: What will be your first words of advice for your team members?

A: Don’t take this year for granted, be appreciative of what you have and make the best of it

Q: One place in the world you really, really wish you could visit?

A: I would love to visit the pyramids in Egypt. I have found them fascinating since I completed a 100 page paper on them in high school

Q: What is your favorite candy bar?

A: Milky Way

Q: Are there any sayings your parents repeated over and over that you can still remember clearly?

A: “You can do whatever you set your mind to.”
