Vinton Unlimited selected the following Vinton residents for November's Good Neighbor Recognition Nominees.

Barb Rego was nominated for assisting in her church, as well as helping so many in the community with the time and effort she puts into volunteering with the local food bank.

Bob and Phyllis Simnacher were nominated for helping others in the community and for specifically being a good neighbor to a 99-year-old Vinton resident who would not be able to remain in her home but would need to be in an assisted living facility if it were not for all their assistance around the home.

Carolyn Hibbs was nominated for her willingness to help others in the community. Also, her knowledge of cell phones is amazing, and she has willingly helped other blind individuals with figuring out their phones when she's been asked.

Dea Burroughs a nominee noted for her willingness to help others, her efforts in volunteering at her church, and for always having a smile.

Steve Miedke, was nominated for the neighborhood improvements he has made to several properties in the community. He has taken properties and completely remodeled them. It is a huge visual improvement in the neighborhoods and helps make Vinton a great place to live.

Trevor & Sara Rommann were nominated for being a Good Neighbor to their 99-year-old neighbor who would not be able to remain in her home but would need to be in an assisted living facility if it were not for all of their assistance around the home. It takes a village!

Thank you to all of these Vinton residents for making Vinton a wonderful place to live!
