The tradition of elementary school music and ice cream continued Tuesday evening at Tilford Elementary, where the second grade students and music teacher Connie Zenk sang a variety of American songs as well as songs from other parts of the world.

The students began with some patriotic favorites. They sang "America" before reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing "My County, My Flag" and "Grand Old Flag."

Other songs included "Little Silver Moon," a Chinese tune and the African song Ise Oluwa.

"Old Dan Tucker," an annual favorite featuring a little choreography and an old-style hat, was a favorite for the singers and the audience.

The kids also sang "Father's House" and "Make a Rainbow," a song about diversity.
