Many of you are familiar with the Farmers Mercantile Hall in Garrison. The location provides hours of entertainment for those who love to spend an afternoon enjoying various types of music organized at the venue. It is also a great location if you need to throw a family potluck and just don't have a space large enough at the house.

A plan has been developed to renovate the sidewalks at the Farmers Mercantile Hall in Garrison. Renovation of the front sidewalk will begin in August.

Anyone or organizations interested in donating toward the project are asked to send donations to the "Mercantile Sidewalk Project" attention Angela Dague in care of the Garrison Library at 201 E Pine St., Garrison, IA 52229 or donations can be dropped off at the Garrison City Clerk's office, 103 S Birch Ave. in Garrison.

If you can pitch in and help out, it is definitely a worthy project.
