VGH is excited to welcome family practice physician Dr. Michael J. Foggia II, D.O. to our medical team. Dr. Foggia brings over 25 years of experience in emergency medicine, family practice, and osteopathic manipulative treatment. He is board certified in Family Practice and has held leadership roles as Medical Director and Chief Resident throughout his career.

Dr. Foggia earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Des Moines University and completed his residency at Davenport Medical Center, where he was appointed Chief Family Practice Resident. His extensive career includes roles in emergency departments, family practice clinics, and urgent care settings across Iowa and Arkansas. He has a special interest in osteopathic manipulative procedures, wellness, and injury prevention.

In addition to his medical expertise, Dr. Foggia has a robust background in fitness and wellness, having served as Fitness Director for Employers Mutual Insurance and as a contributing author to multiple wellness publications.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Foggia join our team and look forward to the exceptional care he will provide. Dr. Foggia will be available for acute/care same day appointments at the Vinton Family Medical Clinic.
