The Kiwanis Club of Vinton recently held its annual installation ceremony to induct new officers and board members, while also honoring long-serving members for their dedication to the organization. The event, attended by local Kiwanis leaders, members, and guests, marked another year of service for the community-focused group.
In a special ceremony, Past President Kellie Roberts was joined by Pam Landon, Division 9 Lt. Governor, in installing the 2023-2024 officers and board members. Pictured along with Robert's and Landon, The newly installed team:
- Tom Husnik - Secretary
- John Yundt - Membership Director
- Dan Peoples - President-Elect (and his Assistant to the President-elect, son Paul)
- Chelsea Peoples - Treasurer
- Craig Ollinger - President
- Tami Stark Mahood, Amy Stourac, and Chelsea Koeppen - Board Members
Kellie Roberts and Pam Landon welcomed four new members into the club: Nick Borgwardt, Chelsea Peoples, Grace Schmidt, and Amy Stourac, Jeff Steffensmeier (not pictured).
Beyond the officer installation and new member inductions, several longtime members were recognized for their exceptional service to the organization. Kellie Roberts and Lt Governor Pam Landon presented service awards notably to John Ketchen for 50 years of service, Carolyn Hibbs 25 years of dedication, and Dave Henkel 50 years of service.
A special milestone was celebrated by Keith Ervin, who was recognized for an extraordinary 63 years of active service, making him the longest-serving active member in the Nebraska-Iowa Kiwanis District.The Kiwanis Club of Vinton continues its tradition of service and leadership, providing invaluable contributions to the local community.
