Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign Starts Friday, November 22nd !
The Salvation Army's Red Kettle bell ringing campaign will kick off on Friday, November 22nd .this year and run through Saturday, December 24th at Vinton's Fareway Grocery Store.
Please call Julie at 319-329-7119 to sign up for time to ring the bell, whether as a group or as an individual.
Our lives undergo constant change. But one thing is constant; God calls us to serve the most vulnerable.
Last FY 2023-244, The Salvation Army of Benton County served 112 families, including 146 adult and 141 children. The majority of these families had only one source of income, a single-parent home. Around one-half of these families had employment, but still not enough income.
We work with other agencies, like General Assistance, HACAP and Catholic Charities, Rural Access,
Foundation 2, and Law Enforcement. When infants and young children are involved, referrals to the Storks Nest or Lutheran Services of Iowa (LSI)can be made.
We raise awareness that our local Kirkwood College campus can be a resource for greater opportunities to move forward personally.
90% of the funds stay in Benton County to be used for assistance for rent and utility bills, among other assistance.
We Appreciate You !
"Thank You !" to those who have already signed up to help ring the bell.
