News : Local Crop Damage Meeting To Be Held July 14th

In response to the recent storm damage to crops, Iowa State University Extension will be holding a meeting at the John and Ben Olson Farm site located at the corner of 63rd Street and Highway 218 two and a half miles South of Vinton. The field event will begin at 3:00 p.m.

Jim Fawcett, ISU Extension Field Agronomist and Jim Jensen, ISU Extension Farm Management Specialist will discuss considerations for storm damaged crops and future management decisions. Pat Derdzinski, Benton County Farm Service Agency Director will discuss Farm Service Agency disaster programs.
