Services at the Garrison Cemetery

Vinton’s American Legion presented a short service at the Cedar River bridge

Bear Creek Church and Cemetery where friends and neighbors meet for Memorial Day

On Monday, the local American Legion Post held a Memorial Day Service meeting at the Cedar River bridge. Fritz and Sue Noren lowered a wreath into the river in remembrance of Veterans that were lost.

In other parts of the county, there were services held. At the Garrison Cemetery, Morris Gardner opened the ceremonies which hosted Dave Kirchner as the speaker. A large group was in attendance on this beautiful morning.

Services and an open house were held in the Harrison Township at the Bear Creek Church and Cemetery on Monday. H2 Pizza in Vinton and the Pizza Place in Center Point provided breakfast to those in attendance.
