News : Benton SWCD Award Winners‏ - Bader

Keith Bader, who farms in Bruce Township, is the 2011 Owner/Operated Winner of the Iowa Conservation Award for the Benton SWCD. Mr. Bader has used a no till system for both corn and soybeans since the 1980’s on his rolling acres. He was one of the first in the Benton County to do that! The Benton Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioners Congratulate Mr. Bader and thank him for his many years of Conservation Farming! Long term efforts like his help keep the soil in the field and productive. Controlling soil loss also helps protect our water resources.
