News : Benton County Sheriff's Report for September

Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 257 calls for service and investigated 12 accidents. Deputies attempted to serve 168 civil papers and issued 132 traffic citations and 206 traffic warnings. There were 34 arrests/juvenile referrals with 41 charges being filed in September 2011. (25) were simple misdemeanors, (13) were indictable misdemeanors, and (3) were felony charges. Charges included: warrants served – 6; Child Endangerment – 1; Assault – 2; Driving Under Revocation / Suspension – 5; Interference With Official Acts – 1; OWI – 5; Drug Related – 6; Public Intoxication – 3; Public Urination – 1; Violation of No-Contact Order – 2; Possession of Alcohol Under Age - 9.
