News : VSHS students plan to share Speech performances with public

'I don't want to show off;' Emma Horst sings All-State Musical Theater song for VS School Board.

In the near future, there will be a presentation by VSHS speech students featuring their entries in this year's competitions, including the All-State selections by Emma Horst, Liz Moen and Willow Huber.

Horst performed her selection, the song called "Show Off," for the VS School Board during its meeting on Monday evening. Speech coach Le Cox introduced Horst; she said the event featuring other selections will be announced in the near future. Horst has set a new school best, with four All-State selections in her high school career, said Cox. Her first three were as part of group performances; this is her first solo All-State honor.
