News : Touchdown Club to meet July 15; group will aid VSHS football, youth programs

The Viking Touchdown Club will meet at the Vinton Shellsburg High School lunch room this Sunday, July 15 at 7:00 PM. The public is invited to attend to learn more about the club and volunteer opportunities that are available.

Mission Statement of the Viking Touchdown Club:

To cultivate a relationship with the coaching staff, parents and community within the Vinton Shellsburg school district that creates a positive football culture and ultimately creating championship work ethic, desire and play at all levels of Viking Football.

We will support:

1. The Players- First, and above all, we exist to support the student athlete. All decision-making is based on the positive benefits and impact to the players, thereby enhancing their overall football experience

2. The Parents and Fans- Second, we are here to support you, the parents and fans who attend the games, by adding value to the game experience

3. The V/S Football Program and Staff- Last, but certainly not least, we are here to support the V/S Football Program and Coaching Staff by investing in tools, training and technology required to improve the football program for current and future teams.
