Every year, car lovers can see a variety of antique and classic cars at the Vinton Cruise. Some of those cars they will see for the very first time, as owners buy new vehicles, or in most cases, finish restoring them.

The annual cruise takes place Saturday, July 21, rain or shine. Owners will sign up outside the Benton County Courthouse from 3-6:45 p.m. The cruise begins at 7.

Some of the new cars owned by area residents were on display on Wednesday as cruise organizers gathered to discuss the cruise and their cars with local media.

Mark Wilberg recently finished restoring a 1939 Pontiac, which includes the iconic "Chief Pontiac" hood ornament. Dave Staab also has a new street rod to display: A 1930 Model A.
