4-H members and their families from across Benton County are invited to attend the Benton County 4-H Celebration on Sunday, October 7. The event will be held at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School Auditorium in Vinton starting at 2:00 p.m.

The event will celebrate the accomplishments of Benton County 4-H members throughout the 2011-12 participation year. County 4-H awards will be presented and other achievements and honors will be recognized. 4-Hers also should be prepared to enjoy some interactive fun and fellowship. After activities and awards, the afternoon will culminate in a free picnic meal.

The 4-H Celebration is open to all Benton County 4-H members and their families; 4-H volunteers and other 4-H supporters.

Young people interested in joining 4-H and their families also are encouraged to attend. “This is a terrific opportunity to see a showcase of the many accomplishments of our Benton County 4-Hers, and to meet the club leaders and other volunteers involved in the program,” says Greg Walston, Director of Benton County Extension.
