News : Benton County Sheriff's Report/Arrest Log, February 2013

Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 214 calls for service and investigated 17 accidents. Deputies attempted to serve 202 civil papers and issued 20 traffic citations and 42 traffic warnings.

There were 20 arrests/juvenile referrals with 22 charges being filed in February 2013.

(5) were simple misdemeanors, (14) were indictable misdemeanors, and (3) were felony charges.

Charges included: Arrest Warrants served – 11; Assault – 2; Criminal Mischief – 1; Driving While Suspended / Revoked / Barred – 2; Operating While Intoxicated – 3; Public Intoxication – 1; Theft – 1; Trespass - 1.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
