In the small town of the Midwest, the doctor was by far the most important person we knew. We knew he could cure all of our ills and he did. He was first a doctor – then a myriad of other very helpful and interesting things; but the most outstanding attribute was that he was a character.

I first knew of this man in the early 1930's and have never quit telling tales about him and his life.

DR March 7, 2013, 8:58 pm What a great article on Doc Dingman. Being from the Urbana area, I am well remembered of Doc\'s office and everything he did for Urbana. I think every student who played sports had a physical from Doc. Thanks Mr. Elwick.
