News : Help keep Vinton beautiful for Party in the Park!

Vinton residents are asked to keep property and flags displayed beautifully for Party in the Park.

In preparing for Party in the Park, and working together to make the downtown area look its best, the City of Vinton would like to ask downtown property owners to do a couple of things. Homeowners should also take pride in the appearance of their properties and yards.

• First, address weeds that grow between your buildings and the sidewalks. The City will work on the weeds around the trees.
• Second, the City is keeping the flags displayed until after the Fourth of July, so that they are up during Party in the Park. If the flag outside your property is curled around the flagpole, please unfurl the flag using a broom handle or similar device that will not cause damage to the flag. Not only will this help maintain the great appearance of the downtown area, but also shows great respect to the flag.
