News : Science Camps continue throughout summer throughout Benton County

Summer Science Discovery Camps are being held throughout Benton County this summer.

Shellsburg camp is from June 21-25. Blairstown camp is June 28-July 2. Vinton camp for K-2 is June 28-July 2. Vinton camp for grades 3-5 is July 5-9. Both Vinton camps are at the Hummel Shelter at Riverside Park.

Description: Summer Science Discovery Camp for kids in grades K - 5th. Enjoy art, recreation, science, nature & nutrition while you participate in 5 days of "Hands-on" activities and fun including: Things that fly, Water, Weather, Make Snow, Fizz, Bubble and Goo, Ideas and Inventions. Cost of camp is $15.00 and registrations are due June 1, 2010 to the Benton County Extension Office. Camps are Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am to 11:30 am or 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in Atkins, Belle Plaine, Keystone, Shellsburg, Van Horne or Vinton.
