Party in the Park 2013 ended Saturday night with the events biggest fireworks display ever.

With hundreds of people sitting close enough to feel and smell the fireworks, and thousands more watching from around Vinton, the 2013 Party in the Park ended Saturday night with a reminder of the contribution the parade Grand Marshals have made to the event for the past several years.
Chuck and Marilyn Yedlik were honored as the Grand Marshals in the parade; Chuck and his Bar-Y Pyros have been an important part of Party in the Park for several years, with Bar-Y donating a large part of the show each year.
This year's fireworks show was the biggest ever at Party in the Park, said both Chuck and VPRD Board President Jeff Peterson.
The audience whistled and applauded as the fireworks -- set to music-- filled the sky above Riverside Park with a variety of colors and sounds.
