David J. Dietrich, 53, passed away, Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev. Stephen Preus officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be held at Mound Cemetery in Watkins at a later date. Susan Elaine Nessler Fuchs
Susan Elaine Nessler Fuchs, 66, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Vinton Lutheran Home from complications of a stroke. Honoring her wishes, private family services will be held at a later date.
Susan was born October 12, 1952 in Vinton to Clifford and Eleanor Crow Nessler. She grew up in Garrison and graduated from Vinton Community Schools in 1970.

Ralph Sigfred Kofoed, 84, of Vinton, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. A private family graveside service will be held Friday, December 14, at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton. The family will receive visitors that afternoon from 4-6 in the gathering area at the Cobblestone Inn, Vinton.

Evelyn Christina Benesh, 89, of Belle Plaine, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at Keystone Care Center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Belle Plaine, with Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Burial will take place at Stayskal Cemetery, Chelsea. Della Darlene (Forrester) Rogers, age 83, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha.
“Darlene” was born on November 17, 1935 in High Amana to Clarence Jack and Della (Ginter) Forrester. On May 24, 1952 she was united in marriage to Virgil Rogers at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Maxine A. Vrba
Maxine A. Vrba, 18, of Vinton, passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. Celebration of Life will be held on Jan 26, 2019, from 9 a.m. to noon at Palo Community Center, with a benefit from 2 to 9 p.m.

Jon Gorski, AC0OQ, 71, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at the Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Jon was born Feb. 3, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Norbert and Esther Gorski. Jon's life was very active over the years. He was a radio engineer/host, pilot, electrical engineer and Collins tech. Susan Hite
Susan Hite, 71, died peacefully November 30, 2018 at her residence from liver failure with her daughter at her side.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Susan’s life will be held from 4 to 7 pm Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the Vinton American Legion Hall. The family will have a pot luck dinner during this time for attendees and anyone wishing to contribute food is welcome to do so.
