VAN HORNE: Donna Mae McAtee, 80, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born December 27, 1934 in Iowa City to Frank and Mary (Parbs) Poulson. On January 10, 1953 she was united in marriage to Donald McAtee in Cedar Rapids. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2014. Geraldine Lorretta Allison

Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha due to complications from a fall on Dec. 3, 2015.

VINTON – Ronald Dale Nesler, 43, of Vinton, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, surrounded by his loving family.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday December 12, at Blessed Hope Church in Vinton. Pastor Matt Hantz will officiate.

VINTON - Earlene I. Phelps, 75, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home with Pastor David Condry officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday, December 15 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mt. Byron Edward Knupp
VINTON – Byron Edward Knupp, 79, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart. Per Byron’s wishes, his body has been cremated.
Memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm, officiated by Ray Rardin, PGP.

VINTON – Valmah Lee “Val” Patrilla, 89, departed into the arms of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in the Ed & Joan Hemphill Hospice Unit at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Vinton with Rev. Wayne A. Bridge
VINTON: Wayne A. Bridge, 85 of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Vinton died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Wayne was born April 17, 1930 at Garrison to Arthur and Ella (Grimm) Bridge. He served his country in the United States Army in Korea.
