Obituaries : Ronald E. Clark

Ronald E. Clark, 70, of Malcom, died on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

A prayer service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to his service on Monday.

Memorials may be directed to the Ronald E. Clark Memorial Fund.

Ronald was born on June 18, 1943, to Earl and Sylvia Pederson Clark in Boone. He was married to Cherie Beckham and to this union Ronald II and Angelina were born. The couple later divorced.

His enjoyments were fishing, listening to music, Nascar and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Ron liked to watch action movies with his three favorite actors; Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Chuck Norris. He will always be remembered for his laugh.

Ron is survived by his children, Ronald (Kurstin) Clark II and Angel Clark, all of Malcom; five grandchildren, Kaylee, Reid, Cole, Evan and Callie; four sisters, Elaine Wheelock of Boone, LaVonne Stephenson of Vinton, Karen Goodenbour of Vinton and Pam (Otto) Bush of Vinton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Williams.
