Jeannine D. Slezak, 56 of Vinton, died following a brief illness.

Visitation is on Saturday November 30, at the Vinton Shellsburg Middle School Library 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a memorial service directly following the visitation at the library. Gordy Turek will be officiating. Her body has been cremated.

She is survived by her husband Randy, daughters Regina (Jared) Malaska and Jessica (Justin) French, father Rodger Schubel and wife Lois, sisters Denise Railsback and Lynn Barrett and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Darlene and brother Rawn.

Jeannine was employed by the Vinton-Shellsburg School system for 17 years. She loved her family, friends, dogs, flowers and making people happy. Her outgoing personality made young and old alike smile. She loved camping and making memories around the camp fire. She loved seeing school children faces light up when they saw her latest library display. She leaves behind many good memories and many broken hearts. She was loved by all that knew her.
