SIOUX CITY: E. Larene Butler, 86, formerly of Vinton, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at her daughter's home in Harrisburg, SD where she lived during the past three months of her courageous battle with cancer. life.
Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nashua, Iowa with Rev. James Hanke officiating.
Larene was born April 4, 1924 at Arlington, Iowa to Leo and Nellie Antwine. She married Rev. Robert Deo Butler who preceded her in death on November 5, 2006. Larene was a devoted pastor's wife and mother.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Butler and wife, Ellen of Sioux City; her daughter, Carol Wilson and husband, Brad of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren; Scott Gebers and wife, Renae, and Chad Gebers and wife, Shannon; her great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Hannah Larene, Sydney, Dane, Will Robert and Drew; and her sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Robert Bassett.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Rudy Vavra.
