Obituaries : Kenney Wilson

Kenneth Frank Wilson, 84, of Mesa, AZ passed away peacefully at home February 6, 2014.

He was born March 5, 1929 to Clarence and Eliza Wilson, near LaPorte City. He graduated from Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids.

He married Bernadette Smith on August 12, 1951 in Vinton. Survivors include his wife, daughters, Susan (Arch), Peggy (Tim), sister Murldene Harmon,Vinton, brother Wayne (Sally), Denver, IA, granddaughters Rachael, and Kristen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale, and sister, Ruth. He served in the Army and was a medic in the Korean conflict. After moving from IA to AZ in 1969 he became a member of the Operating Engineers.

He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Kenneth loved telling jokes and had a contagious laugh. He served the Lord and was an active church member his entire life. Memorial services will be held on February 22, 2014, at Broadway Christian Church, Mesa, AZ.
