Vinton—Margaret L. Henry, 90, died peacefully February 20, 2014 at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab with her family at her side. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Margaret was born December 2, 1923, in Rowley, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey and Maggie Gabbott Burroughs. She was raised in the Mt. Auburn/Vinton area and graduated from Lincoln High School in Vinton.

On November 22, 1941, Margaret was united in marriage with Roy Henry in Vinton. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2012. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vinton. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, camping and mushrooming but her greatest joy was time spent with her family.

Margaret is survived by one son, Steve (Karyl) Henry of Mt. Auburn; two daughters: Carol (Ronnie) Geiger of Vinton and Cathy (Russ) Funk of Weslaco, Texas; 8 grandchildren: Michelle Gaylord, Annette (Russ) Koons, Wendy Geiger, James (Nanci) Geiger, Gregory Geiger, Tracie (Flave) Markland, Jeff Henry and Steve (Stacie) Henry; 17 great-grandchildren: Chris Lough, Eric (Kristina) Lough, Shannon (Ken) Juhasz, Charlie Brownell, Patrick (Lisa) Flick, Michael Flick, Steven (Becca) Shingledecker, Theresa Shingledecker, Nick Markland, Ben Markland, Kaleb Henry, Amanda Henry, Stevie Henry, Ethan Henry, Collin Henry, Maggie Henry and Joseph Henry; 5 great-great-grandchildren: Justice and Faith Juhasz, Adrianna Flick, Damien and Aona Shingledecker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; son, Donald Henry; granddaughter, Lori Lough and husband, Rich, and son-in-law, Chuck Lerch.
