Jerry Lynn Cunningham
VINTON: Jerry Lynn Cunningham, 47, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.
Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m, Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Gates officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Jerry was born September 21, 1966 in Cedar Rapids to William and Karon (Hoon) Cunningham and graduated from the Shellsburg High School in 1985.
On June 20, 2013 he was united in marriage to Dawn Brosh.
Jerry worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a talented artist and woodworker and loved to golf.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Karon Cunningham of Vinton; his children, Kristal Cunningham of Cedar Rapids, and Holly (Mitch) Johnson of Garner; his step-children, April and Casey Rathje and Krystal (James) Baird, all of Cedr Rapids; three grandchildren; and his sister, Amy (Steven) Broxey of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Cunningham.
A memorial fund has been established.
