LA PORTE CITY – Doris I. Cook, 98, of La Porte City, formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab in Vinton due to natural causes.
Doris is survived by two daughters: Nelda Gilliam of St. Louis, MO, and Nancy (Craig) Mahood of Mt. Auburn.
No local services are planned. Doris will be laid to rest with her husband near Marysville, Kansas, at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab.
