Della M. Wolf
Brandon: Della M. Wolf, 100, died Monday, July 21, 2014 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo following an brief illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at Phillips Funeral Home, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton with Pastor Dick Burlingame officiating. Interment will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery north of Vinton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m., on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Della was born July 9, 1914 in Benton County, the daughter of James and Della May (Sanderson) O'Donnell. On February 7, 1934 she married Virgil Wolf in Vinton. He preceded her in death.
Della graduated from the Brandon High School. She worked for a factory in Independence and was a homemaker.
Della is survived by six daughters, Dorothy (Ray) Lund of Howell, MI, Pat (Ronald) Peters, Kathy (Lee) Jewett, Donna Kramer, and Linda (Ron) Pries, all of LaPorte City, and Margaret (Pat) Sloan of Urbandale; three sons, Jack (Denise) Wolf of Brandon, Virgil Wolf, Jr. of Missouri and Wayne (Kathie) Wolf of Coralville; thirty-two grandchildren; sixty seven great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Bernard Wolf; her daughter, Bonnie Sue Wolf; and grandson, Steven Wolf.
