Obituaries : Nerme M. Stainbrook

Nerme M. Stainbrook, 88, of Independence, Iowa and formerly of Brandon, Iowa entered into the glory of God on December 4, 2014 at her home in Independence, Iowa surrounded by her loved ones.

Nerme was born on November 28, 1926 in Shady Grove, Iowa the daughter of Ralph E. and Mae A. (Hilton) Wright. She was a 1944 graduate of the Brandon High School and was united in marriage to Everette W. Stainbrook on September 30, 1945 in Brandon, Iowa. The couple made their home in Brandon and Nerme was employed with the Hy-Vee Grocery Store in Cedar Rapids, IA for nine years. In December of 2008 the couple moved to Independence, IA.

She is survived by a son; James (Ann) Stainbrook, Holland, IA, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a sister; Louise Koob, Jesup, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Everett.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Living Water Church in Independence, IA with Rev. John Sheda officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence and from 9Am till services Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, Iowa.
