Obituaries : Randy Beatty

SHELLSBURG:

Randy Beatty, 54, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his rural resident following a sudden illness.

Private Family Committal Services will be held at Parker's Grove Cemetery near Shellsburg, with Pastor Mike Ferguson officiating.

Randy was born March 27, 1960 in Cedar Rapids to Glenn Dale and Margaret Suzanne (Hagen) Beatty. He graduated from the Shellsburg Community High School.

Randy always worked in the home improvement field. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors. He spent hours planting trees and he loved raising chickens.

Randy is survived by his brothers, Greg Beatty, Lindsay (Colleen) Beatty, Steve (Diane Beatty; his sister, Brenda (Dave) Aitchison; his step-father, Charles Beatty; several nieces and nephews; and his aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father and his mother; and his uncles, Jim and David Hagen and Ed Beatty.
