Obituaries : Beverly Lyons

Beverly Lyons, 63, a resident of Milan, Illinois, formerly of Shellsburg, IA passed away, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Trinity Rock Island, Illinois.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Vinton Legion at 3:00pm, Saturday, March 7, 2015.

Born on January 23, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, IA, Beverly was the daughter of Roy and Virginia (Cook) Harrelson. In August 1999, she married Clayton “Dale” Lane in Moline, Illinois.

Beverly was a homemaker, but also had managed the mobile home park, where she had lived in Shellsburg, IA. She enjoyed genealogy, crocheting, and reading. Beverly cherished her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include, her husband, Clayton “Dale” Lane of Princeton; daughters Tonda (Don) Needham of Hannaford, North Dakota and Lisa (Kevin) Steele of Milan, Illinois; a son, Brian (Heidi) Lyons of Shellsburg; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Anna Marie Kibbie and Tom Harrelson, both of Shellsburg, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Merle Harrelson and Merlene Naylor.
