Vinton--Lorraine Willa Ann (Kaestner) Landgrebe, 91, of Franklin, WI, formerly of Vinton, Iowa, died Thursday, May 7, 2015, at her home.

Funeral services for Lorraine will be at 11:00 am Monday, May 18th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev. Stephen Preus officiating. Visitation will be two hours before the 11:00 am service at the church. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton IA.. A lunch will follow at the church.

Lorraine was born July 22, 1923, in Van Horne, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel F. and Lillian Kading Kaestner. She attended Big Grove No. 8 School and graduated from Van Horne High School. On November 15, 1942, Lorraine was joined in marriage to Dale Landgrebe at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Van Horne. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2002, at the age of 79. They farmed in Van Horne.

Lorraine was an Outreach worker, working as a Senior Dining Aide with her friend Harriet Mahoney, for HACAP. She retired in June of 1989. She also volunteered with the Lutheran Home Auxiliary for 10 years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Mission Circle, the Fireside Club and the Mary Martha Guild.

Lorraine is survived by one son, Keith (Jacqueline) Landgrebe of Oak Creek, WI; two daughters, Linda Engelking of Belle Plaine and Cathy (Dean) Rogers of Oelwein, IA; 5 grandchildren: Lori ( Richard) Papesh, Mellisa(Joe) Jastrow, Teresa (Dave) Vollmers and Travis (Stephanie) and Matthew Rogers; 14 great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Lilly and Jeanna Papesh; Emily, Jessica, Mae and Samuel Jastrow; Caleb, and Bethany Vollmers; Brody, Merissa and Ashley Rogers; Taylor Deramus and Kinley Ann Rogers; her sister Francis Barness and sister-in-law Dorothy Kaestner. Also, her special bonus daughter and family, Sherri (Lowell) Henkle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Kenneth Kaestner; brothers-in-law Bob Fitzpatrick and Emil Schultz, Ralph Barness; grandmother, Minnie Kading; and William and Lizzie Landgrebe.
