Charles Arthur Malmgren, 68, of Blairstown passed away suddenly Monday, November 9, 2015.

A Prayer Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Blairstown Legion Hall, 102 Benton Street NE, Blairstown, Iowa. Immediately following the prayer service a memorial visitation will be held until 6 PM where the family will receive friends. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Charles was born on March 22, 1947 to Arthur and Marilyn (Kizer) Malmgren in St. James, MN. He married Wyona Lynn Klose on July 1, 1967 in St. James, MN. Charles loved the outdoors, especially hunting deer in Northern Minnesota.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Wyona, his four children: Rich (Jodi) Malmgren of Fargo, ND, Mike (Holly) Malmgren of St. James, MN, Amy Malmgren of Keystone, IA, Lynette Malmgren of Davenport, IA, four grandchildren: Mason, Michael, Maverick, and Allison, his brothers Ron and Jim Malmgren, and his sister Fran Puterbaugh.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
