Geraldine Lorretta Allison, 94, of Blairstown, IA, passed away Dec. 10, 2015 at the Dennis and Donna

Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha due to complications from a fall on Dec. 3, 2015.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 at Phillips Funeral Home, 108 Fremont St. NW, Blairstown, IA. Services will be at 11 AM, Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church, 109 Prospect NE, Blairstown, IA officiated by Rev. Dr. William Jamison.

Geraldine was born May 5, 1921 in Creston, IA to Ed and Marguarite (Henderson) Turner. She was the oldest of 10 children.

On Jan. 31, 1941, Geraldine was united in marriage to Orville Allison at Maryville, MO. They worked side by side in various jobs, most recently at the Blairstown locker for 30years before retiring. Orville preceded her in death in 1996.

Geri was a fantastic cook and enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in all their sporting events. She was especially fond of watching NCAA football, basketball and Major league baseball on TV. She enjoyed listening to old-time country music and working with her flowers.

Survivors include a sister Audrey (Gary) Wandling of Blairstown, and a brother Ray (Kenna) Turner of Inglis, Fl. Her 3 children, Steve of Estero, Fl, Karen (Vince) Schulte of Norway, and Becky (Tom) Cranston of The Villages, FL; 12 grandchildren: Amy Allison, Andrea (Mike) Biggs, Keri (Jim) Revett, Aaron (Shannon) Allison, Allyson Schulte, Vance Schulte, Chad (Chrystal) Schulte, Justin (Tara) Schulte, Vaughn (Shelley) Schulte, Kodi (Jesse) Burch, and Shalae (Sean) Patrick, Tyson (Michelle) Cranston; 20 Great grandchildren and 2 Great Great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Orville, she was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters and an infant Great granddaughter.

Geri was cared for lovingly by Judi Allison in her final days and her family will be eternally grateful.

Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Blairstown First Responders, or U of I Hospital Palliative Care.
