Obituaries : Susan Elaine Nessler Fuchs

Susan Elaine Nessler Fuchs, 66, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Vinton Lutheran Home from complications of a stroke. Honoring her wishes, private family services will be held at a later date. Susan was born October 12, 1952 in Vinton to Clifford and Eleanor Crow Nessler. She grew up in Garrison and graduated from Vinton Community Schools in 1970. On November 18, 1972 she married Tim Fuchs at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Garrison. Susan worked as a secretary for Hawk Bilt and for the Eckhart and Mossman law firms, retiring in 2012. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Garrison. Susan loved knitting Christmas stockings for hundreds of children over the years. She also enjoyed her cemetery flea markets and helping Tim at Evergreen Cemetery. However, her family was her greatest love. She is survived by her husband, Tim, of Vinton; sons, Shane (Tomi) Fuchs of Robins and Dave (Kelly) Fuchs of Van Horne; grandchildren, Annabelle, Bailey, Cammy, Riley, Nicole, Rebecca and Jason; brother, Denny (Sheila) Nessler, of Golden, CO; sisters, Linda (Mike) Streif, West Union and Deb (Joe) Kruse, Vinton.
