Obituaries : Thomas Elliot Lanham

Thomas Elliott Lanham, 79, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 following a sudden illness. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date. Tom was born December 24, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Robert and Ola Lipscomb Lanham. He was the oldest of thirteen children. He attended school in Williamsburg, Ohio. Tom moved to Iowa in 1967 and was a self-employed painter. He married Sharon K. Rouse and they had two children, Rochelle M. Lanhan and Amber L. Lanham. They later divorced. Tom married Dina Dronebarger and had three step-children, Tonya, Tammy and Ben. Tom and Dina later divorced. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing and trapping but his greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his daughter, Rochelle (Steve Teneyck) Lanham of Garrison; five grandchildren, Destiny (Jon Poorman) Lanham, Taylor (Chase Merchant) Lanham, Olivia and Nyomi Lanham and Oscar and four great grandchildren.
