Obituaries : Debbie Mather

Debbie Mather, 62, passed away peacefully at homeunder hospice care, Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Services will be held at noon Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Prairie Creek Christian Church followed by a dessert visitation. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

Debra Ann Mather was born May 24, 1959 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Earl and Barbara McKinley Boyles. As the daughter of a military family, Debbie lived and attended school in many locations, graduating from high school in Germany. She loved reading and spending time outside but her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Prairie Creek Christian Church.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara (Ernie) Riggle; children, Christopher (Melissa) Grendler, Angelica (Donnie) Kisling, Jenny (Elliot) Wisniewski, Travis Boyles, Michelle Mather, Josh (Nicole) Mather, Jeremy (Kimmy) Mather; brother, Marvin (Christine) Boyles; sister Mary (Chris) Kirk; 20 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and her daughter, Chari Newby.

A memorial fund has been established.
