Fleur Kathleen Benjamin was born in December of 1934, and she went to be with her Lord in December of 2020 at the age of 86. She grew up in Vinton, Iowa, and is the oldest of 5 siblings, which include Yvonne Turner of Bedford, TX. Fleur was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Glenn, her sister Thurla, and brothers Glenn (Donna) and Gene (Sherry - who is still living in Austin, TX). As a young girl she was involved in singing with her sisters on the radio in Vinton. Later in life she graduated from a nursing program at Broadlawns Memorial Hospital in Vinton, Iowa and worked at Flagstaff Medical Center in Flagstaff, Arizona. She married Roy Ives and was involved as a minister's wife, raising three beloved children, and working as a hospital nurse at the same time.

Fleur sang in the church choir and played piano at First Christian Church in Fort Madison, Iowa and in La Junta, Colorado. Fleur served as a leader in the Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF). She was also a parish nurse, church treasurer, and choir member at First Congregational Church in Flagstaff, Arizona. Fleur sang in the singing group Sweet Adeline's and was involved in a singing competition in Albany, New York, which was a memorable event for her. She sang in several musical plays in Flagstaff.

Fleur worked for several years as a nurse at Flagstaff Medical Center, primarily in the rehabilitation unit working with orthopedic patients. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed caring for them, and all her family enjoyed coming to visit her and spending time at her home. She enjoyed spending time with her last husband David Benjamin who proceeded her in death. She is survived by her children Mark Ives, John Ives (Juli), and Jeanine Ives, four grandchildren - Logan Ives, Lance Ingerson (Kayla), Brianna Ives, and Amber Ives. She also has 2 stepsons, Greg and Steve Benjamin. Fleur also has many beloved nieces and nephews and friends and has two great granddaughters.

She greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Fleur enjoyed playing bingo and pinochle at her assisted living residence in Peoria, AZ, and enjoyed her life and making friends there. She also volunteered at the Women's Domestic Violence Center in Flagstaff and has left a legacy of love and compassion for others.
