LeRoy L. Parizek, 85, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away June 15, 2023 at Keystone Care Center following a long battle with cancer.

LeRoy was born March 29, 1938 in Clutier, IA the son of Leo and Anna (Vileta) Parizek. He graduated from Dysart Geneseo High School, class of 1957. Following school, he worked as a farm hand. In 1960 he was drafted into the U.S. Army together LeRoy moved to North Fold Virginia, Kenner Army Base with Karen Kasal. On December 28, 1961 LeRoy married Karen Kasal at the Elberon Methodist Church.

Upon returning from his service, LeRoy continued working with his family on the farm, rural Belle Plaine until the couple moved to town following a house fire. He then began his career in trucking working for Bituminous Material & Supply for more than 40 years retiring in 2017.

LeRoy enjoyed working, riding around, eating sweets and naps.

He is survived by his children, Cindy (Jan) Kaplan, Tracy (Brandi) Parizek both of Belle Plaine, Trisha (Chuck Gent) Parizek of South English; grandchildren, Kyle (Darci) Kaplan, Austin Kaplan, Jourdan Parizek, Morgan (Eric) Bartos, Wyatt Parizek, Meleah Crespin, Karlee Parizek, Jacob Gent, Mason Gent, Sadie Parizek; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Judy) Parizek of Belle Plaine; sister-in-law, Doris Parizek of Dysart; brother-in-law's, Darrell (Darlene) Kasal of Belle Plaine, Jody (Lynne) Kasal of Elberon

LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen Kasal (2005); brother, Larry Parizek

Service is 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine. With burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine.
