James A. (Jim) Jackson, 66, passed away Friday September 22, after an extended illness. Jim was born April 27,1957 to Ray F. and Joyce L. Jackson in Vinton, Iowa.
He loved to play the drums and attend concerts. After moving to Florida he established a successful painting business in Sarasota and also in Wear's Valley Tennessee.
With some orthopedic injuries, he was confined to a wheelchair the last 15 years of his life. He had been in many intensive care units since late June due to colon issues which then caused breathing issues.
Listening to music and visits with his son Nick became the joy of his life in the last few years.
He is survived by his son, Nicholas A. of Port Charlotte Florida, and his sister, Jeannine Jackson Lehman of Sarasota, Florida, and many cousins.
There will be no public services.
