Paulette was born on March 15, 1972 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the daughter of Charles and Judith Avis. She graduated from Alburnett High School in 1990 and went on to earn her Bachelors of Psychology at Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University). Paulette worked at Collins Aerospace for over 20 years, where she made countless friends and memories.

Paulette ensured everyone she loved truly felt it. She enjoyed supporting her children including spoiling her grandkids, leading CPU 4H and Robotics clubs and cheering on the Stormin' Pointers. She delighted in spending time up at Fiber Heart and bringing people together through knitting no matter the time of day while always making time to cheer on her Chiefs at game time. As like turtles and dogs she loved, she was always ready to listen to what might be on your mind, have a good laugh and took each day for the adventure it brought.
