Obituaries : Steven A. Camarata

Steven A. Camarata, 72, of La Porte City, died on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa. Steven was born on March 31, 1951 in Cedar Falls, the son of Alfred and Vera Koch Camarata.
He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1970.
Steven married Diane Richardson on October 6, 1973 in La Porte City. He worked at Viking Pump for 43 years in the machine shop doing various positions, retiring in 2017.
He enjoyed playing cards, camping, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. He always put his loved ones first.
Steven is survived by: wife, Diane; daughters, Wendy (Mike) Frost of La Porte City' Annette (Randy) Hansen of Traer' and Christina (Keith Criswell) Cox of Toledo; 10 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron (Terry) Camarata' and Chuck Camarata both of Waterloo.
Steven is preceded in death by a child at infancy; his parents; brother-in-law, Robert Richardson; and father-in-law, George Richardson.
Services: 10:00 AM on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Ascension Lutheran Church, Waterloo.
Visitation: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Locke in La Porte City
Burial: West View Cemetery, La Porte City.
