Linda Kay (Van Nevel) Roggentien, 73, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Unity Point Saint Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Linda was born in Belle Plaine, the daughter of Andrew and Marcella (Wentland) Van Nevel. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School the class of 1969. Following school, she worked various jobs until becoming a house wife and caring for her children.

She enjoyed camping at Hannen Lake, watching westerns and spending time with grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her sons, Ron (Kristyn) Van Nevel of Belle Plaine, Josh (Jami Kimm) Roggentien of Brooklyn, Devin Roggentien of Belle Plaine; grandchildren, Brandon Van Nevel of Belle Plaine, Lance (Sarah Malfese) Van Nevel of Belle Plaine, Ceceilia Roggentien of Cedar Rapids, Scarlett Roggentien of Brooklyn, Zayne Perry of Cedar Rapids; sister, Susan (Mike) Rego of Portland, OR; brothers, Bill Van Nevel of Belle Plaine, and Jim (Tina) Van Nevel of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Richard Van Nevel; brother, Bob Van Nevel; sister-in-law, Cathy Van Nevel; great nieces, Selena Apodaca, and Isabella Severson.
